KURA was developed through a combination of sketching and AI-assisted exploration. The project
demonstrates how AI is most effective when guided by a clear idea and design direction. Rather than replacing the design process, it became another tool alongside sketching and iteration, helping to quickly explore, evaluate, and refine the product while maintaining a consistent vision throughout development.

KURA was designed around the idea that seating should be available wherever people choose to gather. Its lightweight construction and compact footprint allow it to move easily between different environments, adapting naturally to both indoor and outdoor settings. By encouraging flexible use and informal interaction, KURA becomes more than a seat, supporting the moments that happen around it.
KURA’s sculpted geometry was developed to support different ways of sitting while maintaining a stable and comfortable form. The integrated opening reduces weight and defines the stool’s visual identity, while the compact proportions make it easy to carry and store. When inverted, KURA transforms into a small side table, extending its functionality beyond seating and allowing a single object to adapt to different situations.
