Reclaimed light
Reclaimed Light is a table lamp built using reclaimed pine wood collected as offcuts from previous projects.
Working with reclaimed materials plays a central role in the way I design and make objects. I’m interested in understanding what low-grade or leftover materials can offer, and in bringing out their qualities through simple design decisions and careful making.

The lamp starts from a simple box-like structure. Wooden fins act as reflectors, hiding the light source and shaping how the light is released into the space. Instead of direct illumination, the light is filtered and softened, creating a warm, ambient glow.
The project was developed while testing a selection of tools by WOODSTARTER, whose approach to accessible woodworking tools aligns well with a hands-on, workshop-based way of working.
Reclaimed Light reflects an ongoing interest in reuse, constraints, and in shaping light through material rather than adding complexity.
