Ceppo

Is a solid wood nutcracker shaped through a process that moves between digital manufacturing and traditional woodworking.
The object is shaped by the way it is made, allowing tools, materials, and gestures to define its form.
Designed for @AboutArchivi: Schiaccianoci open call, Ceppo explores the relationship between precision and intuition through making.
Made using three wood species : Lebanese cedar, ash, and linden.   The upper surface is CNC-milled and hand-finished, while the hidden underside is carefully hand-carved.
This contrast creates a quiet dialogue between precision and intuition, revealing a more intimate layer of the object through touch and use.
